Goal
The purpose of the event is to raise scholarship money for high school graduates in the Five Towns area. This will be done through the joint participation of area merchants and organizations as well as the registration fees of the participants.

About Us
The Inwood 5K Run was started in 1993 by Co-Directors Peter Sobol and Mike DeRosa. The event has been held every year except 1998, when Inwood Park was undergoing renovations. Beginning 2018, the race will be under the direction of Byron Jarrin.
The event has provided great exposure for Inwood, the "hidden jewel" of the Five Towns. Although its neighboring towns get more recognition, Inwood is a very proud community and we enjoy being able to welcome runners each year from all over the metropolitan area. The diversity of our runners matches the same diversity of races and ethnicities that Inwood itself is known for.
Our committee works very hard to provide and safe and enjoyable day for our guests. Road security, refreshments, parking and registration and just some of its duties. Without the collective efforts of the organizations on our committee, the event simply could not take place.
We thank all who have served and continue to serve on our committee since 1993.
